Boundary Survey
A boundary survey is performed under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. It combines deed research with enough
physical measurements on the ground to ensure the property is located in accordance with the written intent of deed.
Land surveyors actually spend much more time off of the specific property being surveyed then they do on it. This is due to the
amount of time it takes to research relevant deeds, prior surveys, original surveys, original field notes, old county surveyor notes
and sketches. After the research is finished, then they go out to find section lines, 40 lines and/ or subdivision block lines, and
then measure back in to the actual property being surveyed.
This work usally culminates in a survey plat (or drawing) that shows property lines, measurements, acreage, reasonably visible
improvements, tie lines and document references, as well as physical monuments set at the corners of your property.
